I was just so impressed by all of these tracks. I was enjoying the song so much, I barely even noticed it transitioned into Switch 625, a cool little instrumental.Īnd it just keeps on hitting hard after that. Maybe I just haven't heard it in a while, but the song highlights all the strengths of Def Leppard: hard, melodic rock that pleases both metal heads and the casual radio listener. Even though, it's the popular song off this album, I forgot how great Bringin' On The Heartbreak was. I particularly loved the buildup to Another Hit And Run. It starts out strong with Let It Go and Another Hit And Run, two songs that should be more well known than they are. High 'N' Dry is definitely a killer album. Flash forward to today, and I have no idea what the hell I was thinking back then. For whatever reason, at the time, I didn't love them as much as I expected to. Working with Robert John "Mutt" Lange for the first time, Leppard made a huge leap forward from their debut On Through The Night.
